Hello. My name is Carolina Farm Stewardship Association.

 
CFSA supports farming that is good for our farmers, good for our communities, and good for our land – pure and simple. We are a member-based non-profit organization committed to creating a locally-based, organic food system throughout the Carolinas.

 

Why local and organic? We’re so glad you asked!

 

Imagine a world in which small farmers could support themselves, their families, and their communities by working the land in a way that protects our natural resources for generations to come. At CFSA, we believe this isn’t just an ideal – it’s the very real product of a local, organic food system, and we’ve been making it happen for over 30 years!

 

Local food not only tastes better and is better for you, but it also improves our local economies while drastically reducing the energy required for distribution.

 

Organically grown products are free of genetically engineered seeds, have never come in contact with harmful synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, and help build soil fertility while also preserving our vital natural resources.

 

If this isn’t sustainable, we don’t know what is!

We help people in the Carolinas grow and eat local, organic foods by advocating for fair farm and food policies, building the systems family farms need to thrive, and educating and organizing farmers and the communities they serve.
